Jeollanam-do announced on the 13th that, in preparation for the '2025 National Sports Festival for All' to be held from the 24th to the 27th, it will establish a total of 818 communication lines and 681 devices at 58 stadiums across 20 cities and counties, including Mokpo Sports Complex, to support smooth event operations.

To this end, KT Corporation was selected as the main telecommunications operator in January, and after completing on-site inspections of the venues, full-scale construction of the information and communication infrastructure is underway.

At Mokpo Sports Complex, mobile base stations and large-capacity public free Wi-Fi will be provided so that athletes and spectators can conveniently use data. In addition, to ensure smooth event operations, the communication network will be dualized, and a separate press network will be established to enhance security and stability.

Notably, for the first time at a national sports festival, AI-powered sports broadcasting will be introduced for basketball games, providing live coverage. The AI-filmed game footage will be available for live streaming and replay on Naver Sports, YouTube, and OTT apps. This marks the first time AI live broadcasting is being used at a nationwide sports event.

Hwang Byeongeun, Jeollanam-do's Smart Information Officer, said, "We hope that the introduction of AI-powered sports broadcasting at a national event will contribute to the development of sports for all and the revitalization of local sports."
