Jeollanam-do will be accepting applications for the 2026 Landscape Preservation Direct Payment Program for about one and a half months until May 15.

The Landscape Preservation Direct Payment Program is a system in which a Village Landscape Preservation Promotion Committee is formed, a landscape preservation agreement is made between the mayor/county governor and the village, and direct payments are provided to farmers who cultivate and manage landscape crops on eligible farmland.

Eligible applicants are farmers or agricultural corporations registered as agricultural management entities that cultivate and manage landscape crops. The maximum support area per household is 30 hectares for individual farmers and 50 hectares for agricultural corporations.

The main support includes payments of 1.7 million KRW per hectare for landscape crops, 1 million KRW per hectare for quasi-landscape crops, and 450,000 KRW per hectare for quasi-landscape pasture crops, considering additional costs or income reductions incurred by cultivating and managing landscape crops.

Farmers who wish to receive support should form a Village Landscape Preservation Promotion Committee at the village level and submit an application form for the Landscape Preservation Direct Payment Program to the local township agricultural office. When applying, relevant documents such as records of linked activities with local festivals or rural tourism and a business plan must also be submitted.

Kim Hyunmi, Director of Agricultural Policy at Jeollanam-do, said, "We hope the Landscape Preservation Direct Payment Program will enhance the value of rural landscapes and contribute to increasing farmers' incomes," and added, "We encourage active participation from eligible farmers and corporations."
