On the afternoon of the 11th, Kim Seong-jung, the First Deputy Governor of Gyeonggi Province, visited the construction site of the Sinansan Line in Iljik-dong, Gwangmyeong City, where a collapse accident occurred, and urged everyone to do their best in rescuing lives.
At around 4:20 PM that day, Deputy Governor Kim, who visited the accident site, said, "All available personnel and equipment must be fully mobilized to prioritize life rescue and first aid," adding, "Please actively respond to prevent secondary damage caused by the collapse, such as expanding the control zone to nearby commercial areas."
The accident site is where the double-track railway construction of the Sinansan Line is underway. It is known that a report of a crack was received around 12:30 AM that day and measures were being taken.

Gyeonggi Province issued Fire Response Level 1 around 3:50 PM when the accident news was received, and Gwangmyeong City sent a disaster alert text message around 3:55 PM to restrict citizens' access.
Among the six workers on the upper level, one person is missing contact, and the Gyeonggi Fire and Disaster Headquarters is conducting rescue operations.
