"Comfort for Patients"... Sookmyung Women's University Holds Spring Music Concert

Sookmyung Women's University announced on the 12th that Professor Yoo Si-yeon of the Department of Orchestral Music and her students will hold a concert for patients at the National Center for Mental Health in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, at 3 p.m. on the 23rd.

At this concert, the ensemble group "Sookmyung DMA (Doctor of Musical Art) Soloists," composed of doctoral graduates and current violinist students from Sookmyung Women's University, will perform on stage.


Last year, Professor Yoo founded the nonprofit music volunteer organization "Pure and Glory Music Project" and has held 18 concerts at places such as Eunpyeong St. Mary's Hospital and Gangbuk St. Mary's Hospital.


Professor Yoo said, "I want to comfort patients with soft and warm music when they are struggling not only with illness but also with worries and fears."
