Lee Jun-seok Launches Campaign Committee... "Won't Be Defeated by Conservative Establishment Like Yoo Seung-min"

Lee Jun-seok, the Reform New Party presidential candidate, launched the election campaign committee on the 11th.

The standing election committee chair of the Reform New Party election campaign committee is floor leader Cheon Ha-ram, and the co-chairs are former election planning director Ham Ik-byeong, supreme council members Lee Gi-in and Jeon Seong-gyun, and policy chief Lee Ju-young.

Kim Seong-yeol, spokesperson for the election committee, said, "Following candidate Lee's emphasis on efficiency, the scale is not large, but we have formed a fast and powerful 'elite drone unit' election committee."

Key staff appointments include Kim Cheol-geun as general situation room chief, Gu Hyuk-mo as secretary general, and Lee Dong-hoon as public relations director.

In addition, Kim Beom-jun as head of the external cooperation special advisory group, Kim Du-su as head of the political advisory group, Lee Jae-woong as general affairs director, Lee Gyeong-seon as organization director, and Kim Jeong-cheol as head of the fair election headquarters will each assist the candidate.

On the same day, candidate Lee went down to Daegu again following his visit on the 9th to greet commuters. He stated, "The vested interests have been trying to suppress reform-minded conservatives, but I want to make one thing clear: I will not be defeated by them like Representative Yoo Seung-min."

Regarding the talk within the People Power Party about endorsing Prime Minister Han Duck-soo as acting president, Lee said, "This is another attempt by vested interests that Daegu and Gyeongbuk should pay attention to in order to extend their lifeline," and criticized, "Those trying to bring him up to the presidential race have other intentions."
