With the recent surge in demand for research and development of eco-friendly energy-based ships, the Hydrogen Ship Technology Center is gaining attention as a core institution leading research and demonstration of related technologies, making its role and function increasingly important.

Song Sangkeun, who visited the site, emphasized, "It is important to build a close cooperative system between local universities and research institutes centered around the Hydrogen Ship Technology Center," and added, "I expect the center to play a leading role as the central hub of the eco-friendly shipbuilding industry ecosystem."

The Busan Port Marine Industry Cluster was established to foster high value-added marine industries linked to the port and to support related research and development as well as business activities.

BPA plans to accelerate the creation of a marine industry ecosystem through close communication and cooperation with resident institutions, local universities, and research institutes.
