Warm Solidarity Among Women Farmers
The Yeongyang County Federation of Korean Women Farmers (President: Lim Mijeong) donated 2 million KRW on the 9th to help Yeongyang County residents who suffered significant damage from the recent wildfire originating in Uiseong.

The Yeongyang County Federation of Korean Women Farmers was established as an autonomous cooperative with the aim of protecting the rights and improving the status of women farmers, as well as contributing to the construction of welfare-oriented rural communities. It is composed of about 120 members from six townships.
This donation was raised through voluntary participation to provide some support to local residents who suffered major losses to crops, livestock barns, and homes due to the wildfire. In addition, members visited those who were severely affected to offer comfort and a helping hand, demonstrating unity and solidarity.
Lim Mijeong, President of the Yeongyang County Federation of Korean Women Farmers, said, "Through this donation and volunteer activities, we hope to empathize with and comfort the residents affected by the wildfire and overcome this together. We will continue to take the lead in solidarity and mutual growth for the rural community."
Oh Dochang, County Governor, expressed his gratitude by saying, "I deeply thank the Yeongyang County Federation of Korean Women Farmers for their donation, and we will actively work together with the public and private sectors to restore normalcy after the wildfire damage."
