The Korea Federation of SMEs announced on the 11th that Kim Ki-moon, Chairman of the Federation, met with Jany Lee, Director of Human Resources for Garden Grove City, California, USA, to discuss the establishment of a local Korean Food Town and strategies to attract Korean small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Orange County, California, where Garden Grove City is located, is one of the largest Korean communities in the United States with over 100,000 Korean residents. This area is characterized by ▲a diverse Asian population ▲high income levels ▲the popularity of Hallyu content, all of which contribute to a continuously growing demand for K-Food and K-Beauty products.
Jany Lee is the first Korean employee and senior public official who has worked in Garden Grove City for nearly 30 years, and she is known to have a strong interest in attracting Korean SMEs.
Chairman Kim stated, "The United States is a country where cosmetics and food products made by Korean SMEs are gaining tremendous popularity," and "We will promote events such as Korean Food Exhibitions to support various opportunities for excellent Korean SME products to enter the U.S. market."
