Hampyeong County in Jeollanam-do announced on the 11th that it is thoroughly inspecting its safety management plan to prevent accidents ahead of the 27th Hampyeong Butterfly Festival.
On the 10th, the 2nd Hampyeong County Safety Management Committee was held in the small conference room of Hampyeong County to prevent accidents during the festival and to establish a systematic response.
The committee was attended by 16 officials from related organizations, including Hampyeong Police Station, Hampyeong Fire Station, and the Hampyeong branch of Korea Rural Community Corporation. The meeting proceeded with a detailed review of the safety management plan through a report on the festival's detailed plans by the Hampyeong Festival Tourism Foundation and a Q&A session.
The committee members meticulously reviewed all aspects of the festival, including the organization of the event's safety management team, response plans for large crowds, and emergency response plans, focusing on establishing thorough safety measures.
The county also plans to conduct joint on-site inspections with related organizations before the festival opens to create a safe festival environment where visitors can enjoy themselves with peace of mind.
County Governor Lee Sangik stated, "We will thoroughly prepare to ensure that not a single safety accident occurs so that all residents and tourists can enjoy the festival comfortably," and added, "We will establish a perfect safety management system through close cooperation with related organizations."
