Mokpo Office of Education conducted a school violence prevention campaign after school at Mokpo Aehyang Middle School on the 10th and began supporting preventive education by connecting professional instructors to schools in the district that applied.
This campaign and educational support were organized to raise awareness of school violence and to spread a field-oriented culture of prevention through the participation of all school members.

The campaign took place in front of the main gate of Mokpo Aehyang Middle School, with participation from the Mokpo Office of Education School Support Center, Mokpo Police Station, and faculty members, who spent time communicating with students. Participants held placards with messages such as "Safe and Peaceful School" and "We Care for and Consider Our Friends," and distributed encouragement items to highlight the importance of preventing school violence.
In addition, at the request of schools, professional instructors are being connected to schools in the district to conduct highly effective preventive education. This education is operated through prior application and consists of experience-based programs tailored to students’ perspectives, peer relationship restoration activities, and group counseling, encouraging students’ empathy and participation. The School Support Center analyzes each school’s characteristics and conditions through consulting before and after the education, providing customized guidance to maximize educational effectiveness.
On the 11th, Superintendent Jeong Deokwon stated, "School violence prevention does not end with a simple campaign, but begins with continuous communication and practice in the field," adding, "We will spare no effort from the Office of Education to create an educational environment where students and staff can feel safe."
Meanwhile, the Mokpo Office of Education plans to use this campaign as an opportunity to further spread consensus on school violence prevention throughout the local community and to establish a sustainable prevention system through continuous field-oriented support and program expansion.
