Gangnam-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong) will visit the wildfire-affected areas in Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongbuk on the 11th to carry out volunteer activities.

Forty employees and volunteers from the Gangnam-gu Volunteer Center will visit the village halls of Sama 2-ri and Ocheon 2-ri in Jipum-myeon, which are being used as temporary shelters for disaster victims, to deliver more than 8,370 daily necessities in eight categories, including towels and underwear, and to clean the temporary shelters.
The district is conducting a fundraising campaign called the "Hope Sharing Campaign" until the 18th of this month to help residents of the Yeongnam region who lost their homes due to this large-scale wildfire.
For donations of goods, items can be sent to the Gangnam-gu Volunteer Center (320 Bongeunsa-ro, 9th floor, Gangnam-gu, Seoul / 02-3445-5152, 9182), and monetary donations can be received by the Gangnam Welfare Foundation (02-3446-1612, 1568, 9928) and deposited into the dedicated Woori Bank account.
