Muan County Council Appoints Six Members as 2024 Fiscal Year Settlement Audit Committee Members

on Budget Execution

The Muan County Council in Jeonnam held an appointment ceremony for the 2024 fiscal year settlement audit committee on the morning of the 11th and presented appointment letters to the committee members.

This year's settlement audit committee consists of a total of six members, including council members Lim Donghyun and Lim Yuntaek, as well as a former county council member, a tax accountant, a former public official, and a resident representative. They were appointed by a resolution at the 1st plenary session of the 300th extraordinary meeting.

The committee members will conduct a settlement audit for 20 days until the 30th, reviewing the overall budget execution for the 2024 fiscal year, including revenues and expenditures, carry-over project expenses, subsidies, funds, and bonds. Afterward, they will submit an audit opinion report.

At the appointment ceremony, Chairman Lee Hosung said, "I hope that, based on your extensive experience and expertise, you will thoroughly and sharply examine all aspects of county administration from the perspective of the residents," and added, "I expect the settlement audit to serve as a practical and concrete compass for budget management and policy formulation."

The settlement details for the 2024 fiscal year are scheduled to be disclosed to the residents after going through the approval process at the 1st regular session, which is expected to be held in June.
