Chung-Ang University announced on the 12th that it has agreed to research cooperation with the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research in Germany. The institute is a world-renowned research organization that has produced 39 Nobel Prize laureates.
On the 8th, Park Sang-gyu, president of Chung-Ang University, visited the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research in Stuttgart, Germany, and met with Professor Hidenori Takagi, head of the Quantum Materials Division, and Professor Bernhard Keimer, the overall director, to discuss future cooperation plans.
Starting with undergraduate research student exchanges in the second half of this year, research cooperation will be gradually expanded to graduate programs and postdoctoral courses. Through this, the institute will secure research personnel, and university researchers will be able to participate in cutting-edge research.
President Park said, "Research cooperation with the Max Planck Institute will greatly contribute to strengthening Chung-Ang University's research capabilities," adding, "We expect broad cooperation to be possible, starting with the Department of Physics."
