An educational program to help Busan City public officials prepare for retirement will be systematically operated.
The Busan Human Resources Development Institute (Director Kim Eunhee) announced on the 11th that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Busan Catholic University (President Hong Kyungwan) at the Human Resources Development Institute on the 10th to advance retirement preparation education for Busan City public officials.
This agreement was established to support systematic preparation for life after retirement for public officials. The signing ceremony was attended by Kim Eunhee, Director of the Human Resources Development Institute, Hong Kyungwan, President of Busan Catholic University, and others.
The two institutions agreed to actively cooperate in various fields to enhance the quality of retirement preparation education, including joint research and improvement of retirement preparation education programs, sharing of instructors and educational resources, and collaboration on facilities and content.
By utilizing the 'HAHA Campus (HAHA: Happy Aging Healthy Aging),' the nation's first large-scale senior complex facility established at Busan Catholic University, they plan to provide retired public officials with opportunities for leisure, culture, and learning.
HAHA Campus is a large-scale senior complex that integrates leisure, culture, learning, research, and industrial facilities to support Busan citizens in aging happily and healthily.
The two institutions will provide thematic retirement preparation education (mental care, community connection, growth support, physical health) linked to the 'HAHA Edu Program' to strengthen retirement preparation competencies in areas such as finance, health, leisure, and interpersonal relationships, and to enable the use of lifelong education platforms after retirement.
They also plan to pursue joint research and development for the improvement and advancement of retirement support education in the future.
Kim Eunhee, Director of the Busan Human Resources Development Institute, said, "We aim to further strengthen the expertise of retirement support education for public officials and establish a model of mutual growth with the local community," adding, "We expect that this will not only improve the quality of life for retired Busan City public officials but also have a positive impact on the local community."
