Export Achievements at 'Cosmoprof 2025'
Soongsil University GTEP Project Group Supports Domestic Companies at the World's Largest Beauty Expo
Over 600 Buyer Consultations and $440,000 in Export Contracts Secured
The Soongsil University Regional Specialized Youth Trade Expert Training Project Group (GTEP Project Group) announced on the 14th that it participated in the world's largest beauty expo, 'Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna 2025,' from the 20th to the 22nd of last month.
Students participating in the 'Myeongin Cosmetics' booth are conducting consultations with overseas buyers. 'Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna' is one of the world's top three beauty industry expos and is a global event boasting the longest history and highest prestige in the beauty and cosmetics field. This year, approximately 3,100 global brands from 60 countries participated, attracting about 300,000 buyers and visitors to the venue.
The Soongsil University GTEP Project Group participated with a total of 14 students led by Director Jo Seung-ho and Advisor Professor Han Jae-pil. They collaborated with five domestic companies?Tri&C, Zion Meditech, W From, Myungin Cosmetics, and E-Cosme?to support actual tasks in international trade such as interpretation, marketing, and export consultations.
Before departure, the students took part in establishing company-tailored strategies, including brand story analysis and buyer target setting. At the expo site, they performed practical trade duties such as booth setup and buyer engagement, contributing to discovering new buyers and securing export contracts.
In particular, the students participating at the Myungin Cosmetics booth conducted over 600 buyer consultations, resulting in export contracts worth approximately $440,000.
The participating students shared their impressions, saying, "By communicating directly with overseas buyers, we were able to understand the needs of various markets and feel the high interest in Korean beauty devices," and added, "It was a meaningful opportunity to grow by applying trade theory in the field."
Meanwhile, the Soongsil University GTEP Project Group is a regional specialized youth trade expert training project led by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea International Trade Association, and is the only project group nationwide specialized in the European region.
