Nongshim Provides Baeksansu Water at Asia's Largest Athletics Competition

Sponsorship of Baeksansu Bottled Water for the 2025 Gumi Asia Athletics Championships
Nongshim Has Operated Korea's Largest Ramen Factory in Gumi Since 1990

Nongshim announced on the 11th that it has signed a sponsorship agreement with Gumi City Hall for the '2025 Gumi Asia Athletics Championships' and will sponsor Baeksansu as the official bottled water provided to athletes during the event.

The 'Gumi Asia Athletics Championships' is the largest athletics competition in Asia, hosted by the Asian Athletics Association, and will be held for five days from the 27th to the 31st of next month at the Gumi Citizens' Stadium. Nongshim plans to provide approximately 50,000 bottles of Baeksansu and beverages such as Power O2 to about 1,200 athletes from 45 Asian countries participating in the event during the competition period.


A Nongshim representative said, "We decided to sponsor Baeksansu with the hope of a successful hosting of the Gumi Asia Athletics Championships, Asia's largest athletics festival," adding, "Baeksansu, which has undergone 40 years of natural purification and contains natural minerals, is expected to help athletes who are challenging their limits."


Meanwhile, Nongshim has been operating its largest domestic ramen factory, the Gumi Plant, in Gumi City since 1990. As of 2023, the Nongshim Gumi Plant produces products worth approximately 800 billion KRW annually, establishing itself as the top food company in Gumi City.
