Ansan City Awarded 'Outstanding Basic Local Government' at Gyeonggi-do Social Workers Conference

Ansan City receives award for outstanding efforts to improve social workers' treatment
Establishes a three-year comprehensive plan with 20 improvement projects, including new welfare point support

On the 10th, Ansan City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 11th that it received the 'Outstanding Basic Local Government Group Award' in the merit category at the '21st Gyeonggi-do Social Workers Conference' held at the Ansan Culture and Arts Center Haedoji Theater.

On the 10th, at the Ansan Culture and Arts Center, Ansan Mayor Lee Min-geun pledged together with social workers to provide better welfare services at the Gyeonggi-do Social Workers Conference. Provided by Ansan City

At this event, hosted by the Ansan Social Workers Association and organized by the Gyeonggi Social Workers Association, the city was recognized for its efforts to improve the treatment and rights of social workers.

Previously, since 2023, the city formed and operated a Treatment Improvement Committee consisting of nine members, and last year conducted a research project to improve the treatment of social workers. Through this, the city established the 'Ansan City Social Workers Treatment Improvement 3-Year (2025?2027) Comprehensive Plan.' The plan includes 20 treatment improvement projects, including eight new initiatives such as ▲Ansan-type welfare points support of 100,000 KRW per person annually ▲support for young workers ▲health checkup expense support.

Lee Min-geun, Mayor of Ansan City, said, "We will continue to expand interest and support so that social workers can work in better working environments."
