"Hana Bank Supports Gwangju Science Center to Inspire Young Science Dreamers"

Hana Bank has delivered a sponsorship fund of 30 million KRW to the Gwangju National Science Museum Sponsorship Association to promote the spread of scientific culture and foster local talent.

The Gwangju Science Museum held a sponsorship fund delivery ceremony with Hana Bank on the 3rd floor of its main building on the 10th. The event was attended by Kim Honggyun, Chairman of the Gwangju Science Museum Sponsorship Association (Namseon Industry Co., Ltd.), Woo Seunggu, Vice President of Hana Bank, and Lee Jeonggu, Director of the Gwangju Science Museum, among others.


In his greeting, Chairman Kim Honggyun said, "I am grateful to Hana Bank, which has continuously joined forces to promote the spread of scientific culture. This sponsorship fund will serve as a foundation for bridging the scientific culture gap in the region and nurturing future talent."


Woo Seunggu, Vice President of Hana Bank, stated, "We have maintained our relationship with the Science Museum Sponsorship Association since 2021. Seeing the association's efforts to popularize scientific culture and foster young scientific talent inspired us to continue our support."


The sponsorship fund delivered this time will be used for various educational and cultural projects aimed at reducing disparities in scientific culture between regions and helping children and youth in the Honam region expand their interest and knowledge in science.


Director Lee Jeonggu said, "We will continue to actively cooperate with the Sponsorship Association to distribute content to regions underserved in scientific culture and nurture future scientific talent. We ask for the continued interest and participation of citizens."
