Applications Accepted from the 11th to the 25th
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 11th that it is recruiting companies to participate in the '2025 E-commerce Export Market Entry Project.'
The E-commerce Export Market Entry Project has been implemented since 2017 to support the overseas online expansion of small and venture businesses. Depending on the characteristics of exporting SMEs, the project is divided into two categories: ▲sales support using global shopping malls and ▲entry into own-brand malls. The recruitment period this year is two weeks, until the 25th.
First, the sales support using global shopping malls is a project that supports entry or sales on platforms such as Amazon, Shopee, and Olive Young Global by utilizing specialized companies active in the overseas markets that SMEs aim to enter. Participating companies can choose one of direct entry sales, consignment sales through professional sellers, or marketing support. The sales support project using global shopping malls will select a total of 2,270 companies.
Next, the own-brand mall entry project supports costs related to building or renewing overseas own-brand shopping malls for SMEs and startups, as well as promotion, marketing, and IT service adoption. A total of 46 companies will be selected in this project category.
Lee Soon-bae, Director of Global Growth Policy at the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, said, "Among the total domestic online export amount of $1.38 billion last year, the online export amount of SMEs was $1.01 billion, accounting for 73.2% of the total, indicating that online exports are a very significant area for SMEs," adding, "In a situation where global market uncertainties are very high due to issues such as tariffs, we hope this will be an opportunity to find new avenues by diversifying export countries and export items through e-commerce exports."
