Successfully Concluded Amid Enthusiastic Response
Event Continues Until November
The 'Yeosu Flea Market', which opened for the first time this year, had a promising start with around 1,000 citizens in attendance.
According to Yeosu City on the 10th, a resource-circulating market was held on the 5th at the Turtle Ship Park lawn square, where about 150 teams of citizen vendors participated to freely sell and exchange household items they no longer use.

This year, the event venue was enriched with newly introduced experiential content for families, such as making nurungji chocolate and mulrindi, a seedling sharing event, and aroma therapy.
Additionally, a booth for reporting price gouging and promoting good price businesses was set up at the venue, which was evaluated as contributing to the spread of a sound consumer culture.
A city official said, "The successful completion of the first opening was thanks to the enthusiastic participation of citizens," and added, "We will continue to strengthen the Yeosu Flea Market so that it develops into a marketplace where sharing, circulation, and community spirit thrive, beyond just simple transactions."
Meanwhile, the Yeosu Flea Market will be held six times until November, except during the peak summer heat in July and August, and will operate from 1 to 4 p.m. on the first Saturday of every month. However, the May flea market will be held on the second Saturday, the 10th, due to the Yeosu Turtle Ship Festival.
Applications to participate as a vendor can be made through the Yeosu City OK Integrated Reservation System website one week before each market day.
