The training, held for 106 senior officials at grade 5, focused on operating organizations efficiently as influential managers to produce results and spreading the vision of Namyangju City.

Especially this year marks the inaugural year of the 'Great Transformation of Namyangju City's Industrial Ecosystem,' and leadership enhancement was set as a core strategy to resolve conflicts among stakeholders that may arise during policy implementation.

Namyangju City is leading change by strengthening the role of senior officials in discovering common values and reaching consensus, and fostering leaders' empathy to understand and sympathize with employees' emotions and difficulties, thereby creating an organizational culture that supports employees' work engagement.

One senior official said, "When performing the role of a manager, there are times when unpredictable conflicts arise internally and externally, causing difficulties," adding, "The empathetic attitude, healthy courage, and language usage methods were very helpful, and I will strive to provide administrative services for citizens through leadership."

Mayor Joo Gwang-deok emphasized, "Many civil complaints arise from misunderstandings in situations involving diverse stakeholders such as citizens, higher administrative bodies, and collaborating departments," and added, "To mediate conflicts wisely and foster a healthy civil complaint culture, senior officials' meticulous attention and active involvement are necessary."

He continued, "Words have temperature, and beyond that temperature, warmth, generosity, consideration, and respect are contained in your language," saying, "I believe you will shine an even brighter light on Namyangju City as 'wonderful counselors' who convey understanding, empathy, and comfort."

Namyangju City is aiming to build a self-sufficient city with a population of one million and has designated this year as the inaugural year for the 'New Industrial Ecosystem of Namyangju City.' To achieve this, it is focusing on 'strengthening administrative expertise' and 'cultivating practical and communication-centered public officials.'
