Pre-orders Begin on the Afternoon of the 9th
First Solo-authored Book in Eight Years
Former Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung's new book, In the End, the People Do It, will be officially published on the 15th. This is Lee's first solo-authored book in eight years.
According to the publisher Ohmybook on the 9th, Lee's solo-authored book In the End, the People Do It will be available for pre-order starting that afternoon.
The book contains the life and political philosophy of "politician Lee Jae-myung," as well as the direction South Korea should take after suppressing the internal rebellion and welcoming a new spring.
The book organizes the words and writings of politician Lee Jae-myung and is composed of five chapters in total. It selects key messages from urgent statements, press releases, and remarks at the highest-level meetings issued during tense periods such as the declaration and lifting of the December 3 emergency martial law, the resolution of the impeachment motion against Yoon Seok-yeol, the Constitutional Court's impeachment trial, and dismissal ruling, accompanied by brief reflections and positions.
Additionally, based on interviews conducted afterward, the core content has been restructured to faithfully convey Lee Jae-myung's life, political philosophy, and his vision for the Republic of Korea that he wants to build together with the people.
Regarding the reason for publishing this book, author Lee Jae-myung stated, "I felt the necessity to leave a record of the great people's 'Revolution of Light' who resisted the internal rebellion and saved democracy, as well as the efforts of our Democratic Party."
Meanwhile, on the same day in the morning, Lee stepped down from his position as party leader to run for president. Lee is expected to officially announce his presidential candidacy as early as the 10th and complete the appointment of his campaign team to prepare for the primary election.
