The donation ceremony was attended by Seo Jeong-hak, CEO of IBK Investment & Securities, and Seo Seon-won, Secretary General of the Korea Leukemia Children's Foundation, along with other representatives from both sides. The total amount donated by IBK Investment & Securities over two years is 55 million KRW.

Established in 1991, the Korea Leukemia Children's Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports pediatric cancer patients and their families. It operates four pediatric cancer centers for treatment and psychological counseling, as well as two shelters for patients living in rural areas who travel long distances for treatment.

Pediatric cancer is the leading cause of death among childhood diseases. Although the cure rate can reach 86.5% with appropriate treatment, the long treatment process and high medical expenses pose significant burdens.

IBK Investment & Securities plans to support treatment costs such as hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, rehabilitation, and medication expenses for children suffering from pediatric cancer or rare and intractable diseases.

Seo Jeong-hak, CEO of IBK Investment & Securities, stated, "We hope to provide even a little help to the young patients enduring long and difficult battles with illness," adding, "We will continue to provide unwavering support so that patients fighting in challenging environments do not lose their dreams and hopes and can grow into healthy members of society."
