On the 8th, Gijang-gun, Busan held the '2025 Intensive Safety Inspection Preliminary Briefing' at the county disaster and safety situation room.

Jongbok Jeong, Mayor of Gijang County, and related department heads are conducting a preliminary briefing session for the 2025 intensive safety inspection. Provided by Gijang County.

This briefing was organized to discuss key inspection items such as the implementation plan prior to the full-scale intensive safety inspection. It was presided over by County Governor Jeong Jongbok, with 15 heads of relevant departments in attendance.

During the meeting, participants shared the direction of the inspection, an overview, detailed schedule, and promotional activity plans, and exchanged opinions on inter-departmental cooperation for effective safety inspections.

From April 14 to June 13, the county will conduct safety inspections in various areas at 72 high-risk facilities, including large construction sites and multi-use facilities, over a period of 61 days. In particular, the county plans to focus inspections on construction sites, lodging facilities, and multi-use businesses by gathering feedback from resident surveys and safety experts.

Governor Jeong Jongbok stated, "We will strive to ensure the safety of residents by conducting effective intensive safety inspections in cooperation with private experts and by thoroughly implementing follow-up measures. I also ask residents to actively participate by using the self-checklist for self-diagnosis of their surroundings and reporting safety hazards through the Safety Sinmungo."
