Total life care company NewOn announced on the 9th that it will launch the body fat reduction health functional food (HFF) 'Diglo Pill Diet.'
'Diglo Pill Diet' is a health functional food utilizing Diglomera fruit extract, a functional ingredient for body fat reduction. Diglomera has various effects such as △regulating fat metabolism △inhibiting dietary fat absorption △thermogenesis △inducing the conversion of white fat cells.
NewOn published the efficacy of Diglomera in promoting energy consumption through its own research in a Science Citation Index (SCI)-level academic journal. According to the study, Diglomera acts on the glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) hormone similarly to Saxenda and Wegovy. When Diglomera extract is ingested, the blood GLP-1 hormone concentration increases, suppressing appetite.
A NewOn official stated, "Post-treatment management after injectable obesity treatment greatly affects treatment prognosis," and added, "NewOn's body fat reduction HFF is expected to grow alongside the treatment market."
He continued, "We are developing various HFFs considering ease of intake and portability, including film type, powder type, and jelly type, not only this new product," emphasizing, "We will continue innovative research and development to provide effective weight loss solutions and achieve sales of 50 billion KRW within the next few years."
