at the Jatjeol District of Onsu Neighborhood Park
From April 11 to May 31, Guro-gu will operate the forest healing program "Guro-style Forest Prescription" at the Jatjeol District of Onsu Neighborhood Park.
The Jatjeol District of Onsu Neighborhood Park is a nature-friendly space harmoniously blending an ecological pond, wetland, and barrier-free walking trails. This forest healing program is designed to comfort the tired bodies and minds of residents by utilizing nature close to the city.
The program runs from April 11 to May 31, held a total of 16 times every Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The program is divided into sessions for the general public and family units.
For the general public, eight programs are offered: △ Getting Close to the Forest (Experiencing Nature with the Five Senses) △ Breathing with Nature (Forest Meditation and Breathing Healing) △ Movement in the Forest (Dance Therapy) △ Enhancing Creativity by Feeling Nature (Natural Material Crafts) △ Gifts from the Forest (Making Your Own Tea) △ Forest and Sound (Nature’s Rhythm and Singing Bowl Healing) △ Awakening Forest Senses (Walking Meditation and Nature Healing) △ Sharing Communication with Nature (Writing a Letter to Myself). These programs are open to anyone including seniors, university students, and office workers.
Every Saturday, experiential programs for families consisting of 2-3 members are held, including △ Confirming the Importance of Family (Family Introduction, Forest Walk) △ Exploring Our Family Dynamics (Phytoncide Shower) △ Strengthening Family Bonds (Decorating Family Faces) △ Healthy Our Family (Stimulating the Soles of the Feet).
The participation fee is 2,000 KRW per session. Since each session covers a different theme, applicants can check the details and apply for the sessions they are interested in.
Applications can be made through the Seoul Public Service Reservation system. For more details, visit the Guro-gu Office website or contact the Parks and Greenery Division of the district office.
Jang Inhong, Mayor of Guro-gu, said, "I hope everyone takes care of both their physical and mental health through the forest healing program conducted in nature," adding, "We will continue to discover and operate various forest-related programs that help residents manage their health and recover psychologically."
