Gyeongbuk Chamber of Commerce Council Delivers 100 Million Won in Donations for Wildfire Recovery

The Gyeongbuk Chamber of Commerce and Industry Council recently delivered a donation of 100 million KRW to the Gyeongbuk Provincial Government to support recovery efforts following the massive wildfire damage in the region.

The donation ceremony was held on the afternoon of the 8th at the governor's office in the Gyeongbuk Provincial Government building, attended by Chairman Yoon Jaeho and the presidents of ten local chambers of commerce. They expressed their condolences and solidarity to Governor Lee Cheolwoo.


This donation was collected through the joint efforts of the ten local chambers of commerce in Gumi, Pohang, Gyeongju, Andong, Gimcheon, Yeongju, Sangju, Mungyeong, Yeongcheon, and Gyeongsan.


The council explained that they aimed to provide practical assistance to help wildfire victims return to their daily lives as soon as possible.


Chairman Yoon said, "I would like to extend my deepest condolences to those who lost their homes due to the sudden wildfire," and added, "We hope that the heartfelt contributions from businesspeople across the province will provide at least a small help in the recovery and restoration of the region."


The Gyeongbuk Chamber of Commerce and Industry Council plans to continue its social contribution activities together with the local business community in the future.
