Gwangju City Holds Final Presentation for Gyeonggi-do Sports Festival Symbol and Design Development
Emblem, Mascot, and Other Visual Designs Unveiled

Gwangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Bang Se-hwan) held the final presentation meeting for the '2026~2027 Gyeonggi-do Sports Festival Symbol and Design Development Project' on the 8th at the city hall situation room, unveiling various visual design outputs embodying the identity of the event.

This project, which began in January, was promoted to reflect the culture and characteristics of Gwangju City and to establish the symbolism and unified image of the Gyeonggi-do Sports Festival, thereby encouraging interest and participation from citizens and residents of the province.


At the final presentation, 11 basic design types were announced, including ▲emblem ▲mascot ▲logotype ▲exclusive colors ▲graphic motifs ▲signature ▲crest ▲pictogram ▲designated fonts ▲posters ▲slogans, along with 6 applied design types such as △signage △facilities △flags △event supplies △forms/presentation materials △souvenirs.


Based on the finalized designs, Gwangju City plans to actively apply them to media promotional materials, event operation items, municipal promotional materials, as well as various facilities and signboards to create an atmosphere for the event and widely promote the Gyeonggi-do Sports Festival to citizens.


Mayor Bang Se-hwan stated, "The Gyeonggi-do Sports Festival, held in Gwangju for the first time in 72 years, is a precious festival where Gwangju citizens and residents of Gyeonggi Province come together as one," adding, "We will thoroughly prepare to ensure a successful event."


Meanwhile, the results of this project will be posted on the Gwangju City Hall website for citizens to freely view and utilize.
