A Total of 3,639 Runners Nationwide
Participate in Three Courses: Half, Mini, and Health
Dong-gu District of Daejeon announced that the "2025 Daecheongho Cherry Blossom Road Marathon" will be held on the 12th at the Daecheongho Cherry Blossom Hanteo and Odongseon Cherry Blossom Road areas.
The marathon features three courses: Half (21.0975km), Mini (10km), and Health (5km), with 3,639 runners from across the country participating.
The event will begin with an opening ceremony at 8:00 a.m. on the day of the marathon, followed by the official race starting at 8:30 a.m. Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each course and age group. All finishers will receive a commemorative medal and local specialty food items.
For participants' transportation convenience, parking lots 1 through 4 will be in operation, and shuttle buses will run from Panam Station to Sinsang Intersection from 7:00 to 7:45 a.m., and from Sinsang Intersection to Panam Station from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
For safety, all traffic between Saecheon Samgeori and Namdaemun Samgeori will be completely restricted from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on the day of the marathon.
With sponsorship from Korea Water Resources Corporation, the district will appoint 60 local residents as entrance control staff, as it did last year. In addition, during the marathon, 17 restaurants and cafes along the course will offer a 10% discount to participants.
Dong-gu District Mayor Park Heejo said, "The Daecheongho Cherry Blossom Road Marathon is the premier marathon festival in the central region, allowing runners to fully enjoy spring while running along the nationally renowned Daecheongho lakeside. I hope all participants finish safely and make precious memories on the beautiful cherry blossom road."
Meanwhile, the participation fee for this event includes an automatic donation of 2,000 won, with 1,000 won each being donated to "Angel's Touch," Dong-gu's representative welfare brand, and the Daejeon Sports Promotion Fund.
