Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam is holding a briefing session on major pending issues under the jurisdiction of the Second Vice Mayor for two days, on the 8th and 9th, to ensure stable municipal administration even under the acting mayor system.
This briefing session, presided over by Acting Mayor Jang Geumyong, was organized to minimize administrative gaps caused by the vacancy of the mayoral position and to secure continuity and stability in city governance.
On the 8th, starting with the Urban Policy Bureau, reports and discussions were held on current issues of the Culture, Tourism and Sports Bureau, Transportation and Construction Bureau, Climate and Environment Bureau, and Urban Public Development Bureau.
Through this briefing session, the city closely reviewed the progress of core issues for each bureau, such as the creation of a national defense-nuclear fusion industrial complex, restructuring of the central business district's spatial structure, the opening of Changwon Culture Complex Town, and the restructuring of the Pallyong Tunnel.
Acting Mayor Jang urged, "Please make every effort to ensure that there are no gaps in city administration due to the absence of the mayor, and to carry out all pending projects without delay. In particular, accelerate projects directly related to citizens' lives so that there is no inconvenience to the public."
