Free Market to Be Held in the Damidam Art District
Damyang County, Jeollanam-do announced on the 8th that the 'Jeollanam-do Market Troupe' performance will be held at the special stage of Damyang Permanent Market at 10:30 a.m. on the upcoming weekend, the 12th. The Jeollanam-do Market Troupe is a performance organized by the Jeollanam-do Merchants Association and sponsored by Jeollanam-do to revitalize traditional markets and the local economy.
This performance will feature a variety of programs such as tightrope walking, Dongdonggurumu, Keunginoleum, opera gala, dance, Sotdaejaengipae, marching band, yeot vendor, busking, and lion dance, offering a joyful and exciting festival for local residents and tourists visiting Damyang Market. In addition, a free market (flea market) will be held in the areas of Damyang Permanent Market and Damidam Art District for two days from the 12th to the 13th, selling a variety of goods and food.
A county official stated, "This performance will provide visitors to the market with a variety of attractions and a chance to reminisce about the old days," and added, "We will continue to prepare various measures to revitalize traditional markets and the local economy."
