Gwangju University (President Kim Dongjin) announced on the 8th that students Ahn Jaewoong and Kang Jungwoo from the Department of Aviation Service have been hired as cabin crew members for domestic and international airlines for the first half of 2025.
Ahn Jaewoong participated directly in the local Open Day recruitment held at the headquarters of VietJet Air in Vietnam, competing fiercely against hundreds of local Vietnamese applicants and was ultimately selected as a successful candidate. By passing the open recruitment process for local applicants, not a separate process for foreigners, and becoming the only Korean to be selected, he proved his outstanding competitiveness on the global stage.
In addition, his classmate Kang Jungwoo was also finally hired as a cabin crew member by the domestic airline Parata Air.
The Department of Aviation Service at Gwangju University has produced numerous talents in the aviation industry over the years through a curriculum that encompasses both theory and practice, intensive foreign language education, special interview preparation lectures, and customized employment programs such as image making. This successful case is evaluated as the result of the students' individual efforts and passion, as well as the systematic support of the department and the dedication of the faculty.
A representative from the Department of Aviation Service stated, "We plan to continue strengthening industry-academia cooperation with domestic and international airlines and to operate practical, field-oriented education to further expand students' global opportunities."
