LS Strengthens Economic Cooperation with Ukraine... Discusses Post-War Reconstruction Plans

Meetings with Key Ministers and Local CEOs
Discussions on Power Equipment Supply and Joint Projects
Provision of Temporary Power Supply ESS This Year

LS Group is set to intensify economic cooperation in Ukraine's power, energy, and agriculture sectors, which require post-war reconstruction.

LS announced on the 8th that Vice Chairman Myung Noh-hyun visited Kyiv, Ukraine, earlier this month to meet with key ministers from the Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, as well as CEOs of local companies to discuss potential mutual cooperation. The meeting focused on restoring transmission and distribution networks, including energy storage systems (ESS), and supporting agricultural infrastructure.

Following last year's support of five tractors and five loaders to Ukraine, LS has continued its engagement with the Ukrainian government by providing one temporary power supply ESS unit this year. This recent visit was arranged as a continuation of such ongoing support.

Vice Chairman Myung first met with Roman Andrak, Deputy Minister of Ukraine’s Ministry of Energy, and CEOs of major local energy companies to introduce LS’s power infrastructure technologies, including power generation, transmission and distribution, and ESS, and to discuss comprehensive and long-term cooperation plans for restoring Ukraine’s power ecosystem.

In a subsequent meeting with Vitalii Koval, Minister of Ukraine’s Ministry of Agricultural Policy and Food, they explored cooperation measures focused on restoring the agriculture industry damaged by the war. In particular, with approximately 75% of local tractors damaged due to the conflict, they reviewed expanding cooperation including the supply of related equipment and the potential in the bioenergy sector.

Vice Chairman Myung also met with Andrii Teliupa, Deputy Minister of Ukraine’s Ministry of Economy, to discuss LS’s overall participation plans and investment possibilities in Ukraine’s reconstruction projects, and explored multifaceted cooperation directions including future policy support.

Additionally, LS held individual meetings with ONUR Group, an international construction giant, and Eco-Optima Group, a Ukrainian renewable energy company, to discuss the possibility of supplying power equipment and jointly pursuing projects in the energy and infrastructure sectors.

Vice Chairman Myung stated, "This trip laid the foundation for LS Group to establish itself as a key partner in Ukraine’s reconstruction," adding, "We will continue to strive for a strong and long-term partnership for sustainable development to achieve a mutual win-win."
