Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 8th that the grand prize of the '2025 Hwaseong City Public Design Contest' was awarded to 'UNIVERSAL SUPPORTER 7 (Hong Wook)'.

This contest, held under the theme 'Creating Street-White Hwaseong,' took place from January 20 to February 28, attracting 115 entries from across the country.
The city selected a total of 19 winning works through the Public Design Promotion Committee's evaluation and verification process, including ▲1 grand prize ▲1 gold prize ▲2 silver prizes ▲5 bronze prizes ▲10 honorable mentions. Winners will receive a total prize money of 17 million KRW, with 5 million KRW for the grand prize and 3 million KRW for the gold prize.
The grand prize-winning work, 'UNIVERSAL SUPPORTER 7,' was highly praised for proposing a public facility design with a basic structure that can be used for multiple purposes.
The city plans to comprehensively review the feasibility of the winning works and promote linking them to citizen-participatory public design projects through the 'Hwaseong City Public Design Promotion Plan.'
