Siheung-si Selected for 'Self-Sufficiency Center Environment Improvement' Contest

90.27 Million KRW Secured
for Improvement of Workplace Environments
at Self-Sufficiency Centers

Siheung City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 8th that it has secured funding of 90.27 million KRW after being selected in the '2025 Regional Self-Sufficiency Center Workplace Environment and Center Facility Improvement Support Project' contest hosted by the Gyeonggi Metropolitan Self-Sufficiency Center.

With this selection, the city will provide 40.27 million KRW and 50 million KRW respectively to two centers: Jageun Jari Regional Self-Sufficiency Center and Gyeonggi Siheung Southern Regional Self-Sufficiency Center. The city explained that both centers will be able to establish more efficient and safer working environments through environmental improvements.

The Lala Wash business unit of Jageun Jari Regional Self-Sufficiency Center plans to enhance its insufficient drying facilities and install an automated conveyor system with this support to improve work efficiency and safety. The Gyeonggi Siheung Southern Regional Self-Sufficiency Center will create an efficient working environment by additionally installing washers and storage tanks, resolving the existing facility shortages.

Baek Seon-ju, head of the Siheung City Livelihood Security Division, said, "Based on this achievement, we will do our best to help the self-sufficiency centers grow into institutions that have a positive impact on the local community."
