SinSin Pharmaceutical is showing strong performance. This is interpreted as being influenced by news that the Democratic Party of Korea is pushing for a legislative amendment to relocate the administrative capital to Sejong Special Self-Governing City.
As of 10:21 AM on the 8th, SinSin Pharmaceutical is trading at 6,140 KRW, up 13.91% compared to the previous day.
According to industry sources, Democratic Party lawmakers from the Chungcheong region, including Bok Ki-wang and Kang Jun-hyun, are preparing the "Special Measures Act for the Construction of a New Administrative Capital (New Administrative Capital Act)" and plan to propose the bill as early as mid-this month. This marks the re-promotion of the administrative capital relocation after 22 years since the Roh Moo-hyun administration in 2003.
Earlier, Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, reportedly made remarks at a confidential expanded executive meeting at the end of February, requesting a summary of the progress regarding the Presidential Office's relocation to Sejong City and the construction of the National Assembly Sejong Hall. Subsequently, after receiving related reports, Lee directly instructed the preparation of the administrative capital relocation bill.
Meanwhile, SinSin Pharmaceutical invested approximately 50 billion KRW to establish its headquarters and factory on a 38,285㎡ site within the Sejong Advanced Industrial Complex. At the end of last year, it also received the "Corporate Award" at the '2024 Sejong City Entrepreneurs' Day' commemorative event held at the Government Sejong Convention Center.
