"Reading and Writing Using AI and Digital Technology"... National Library of Korea Conducts 31 Educational Programs

The education program consists of ▲ AI Literacy Academy ▲ One-Person Media Academy ▲ Digital Information Utilization Education, with a total of 31 courses and 96 sessions. This year, programs to enhance basic AI utilization and data analysis skills have been significantly strengthened. Lectures reflecting the latest media technologies, such as e-book and podcast production and video creator courses, have also been prepared. Weekend classes will be expanded as well.

The education is conducted mainly through face-to-face practical sessions, combined with group discussions and collaborative assignments. In particular, the 'One-Person Media Academy - Media Collaboration Lab' is a crossover-type education where creators from four fields?video, webtoon, e-book, and podcast?collaborate, providing networking opportunities among creators. Meetings (book talks) with authors related to AI and media literacy will also be held.

Applications can be made through the National Library of Korea website. Recruitment announcements will be posted on the website 3 to 5 weeks before the start of each course. The first education course of this year, '2025 Digital Trend Outlook,' will be held online on April 30.

Im Jaebeom, head of the Knowledge Information Service Division at the National Library of Korea, stated, "This education program was planned to enhance the public's media utilization capabilities and support creative content production in the rapidly changing digital environment." He added, "We will continue to expand education reflecting the latest trends to strengthen the library's knowledge-sharing function."
