Yoon Will Face Difficulties This Year, but It Will Be a Time for Self-Reflection
Cheongong, a fortune teller at the center of suspicions linking former President Yoon Seok-yeol to shamanism, expressed his thoughts on Yoon's impeachment.
On the 7th, Cheongong posted a video titled "Lecture 13618: Former President Yoon's Impeachment" on his YouTube channel. The video featured Cheongong responding to the question, "Why was the president chosen by heaven impeached?"
Cheongong said, "If it is for saving the country, what does impeachment matter? One should not think that they must be in that position," adding, "If I can sacrifice myself to save the people and be a source of strength, that is the true president."
He continued, "It is not over yet. Regarding the question of how to lead this country forward, the people must now wake up from their sleep," and added, "Politicians, presidents, and judges are not the owners of the country. They are workers, and the owners are the people."
He also stated, "(However) until now, there was no owner. The owners have neglected the country. If South Korea becomes divided into factions based on petty logic and cliques, it will inevitably lead to division."
Cheongong came to public attention in October 2021 during the People Power Party presidential primary debate when candidate Yoo Seung-min asked if Yoon Seok-yeol knew Cheongong's master. Yoon replied, "I have met him." At that time, controversy intensified when the character 王 (king) was seen written on Yoon's palm. Allegations also arose that he was involved in political affairs during his tenure as Prosecutor General and in the relocation process of the presidential office to Yongsan.
