Hamyang County Signs Business Agreement to Promote 'Sosiknareumi' Project

Agreement Signed with the Hamyang County Branch of the Korean Senior Citizens Association
Life Support Workers to Deliver County News Directly

Hamyang County, South Gyeongsang Province, announced on the 8th that it has signed a business agreement with the Hamyang County branch of the Korean Senior Citizens Association at the Agricultural Technology Center to promote the 'Sosiknareumi' project.

'Sosiknareumi' is a project in which life support workers participating in Hamyang County's customized care services for the elderly directly deliver county news and various daily life information to the homes of senior citizens.

In particular, it is expected to provide practical help by bridging the information gap for seniors and information-vulnerable groups who have difficulty accessing information, and by directly informing them of administrative benefits that are easy to miss.

The signing ceremony was attended by County Governor Jin Byeongyeong, Lee Youngil, head of the Hamyang County branch of the Korean Senior Citizens Association, as well as about 100 social workers and life support workers, who all wished for the successful launch of the project.

According to the agreement, Hamyang County will establish and operate an online communication channel containing county news and daily life information, while the Korean Senior Citizens Association will have life support workers visit each household to deliver the information verbally.

This agreement is expected to contribute to improving residents' access to information, enhancing convenience in daily life, and increasing trust in administration.

Governor Jin said, "Sosiknareumi is a very meaningful project that allows us to deliver administrative news directly to seniors who have difficulty accessing information," adding, "I hope it will become not only a means of providing information but also a warm bridge of communication connecting the administration and residents, and a starting point for a trustworthy welfare foundation."

Chairman Lee Youngil also said, "We will do our best to ensure that practical help is delivered to residents through this agreement," and added, "I hope 'Sosiknareumi' plays a major role in strengthening the welfare foundation of the local community."
