Koo Jongcheon Appointed as CEO of Hwasun-gun Culture and Tourism Foundation

Koo Jongcheon Appointed as CEO of Hwasun-gun Culture and Tourism Foundation Gu Jongcheon, CEO of Hwasun County Culture and Tourism Foundation, is receiving an appointment certificate from Gu Bokgyu, the county governor, on the 7th. Provided by Hwasun County Culture and Tourism Foundation

Goo Jongcheon, former director of the Gwangju History and Folklore Museum, was inaugurated as the second CEO of the Hwasun-gun Culture and Tourism Foundation on the 7th.


The foundation appointed Goo Jongcheon as the new CEO through an open recruitment process that began in March. The term of office is two years.


CEO Goo graduated from the Department of Public Administration at Chonnam National University and earned a master's degree in Social Welfare from Honam University Graduate School of Social Welfare. He is a former public official who served as spokesperson for Gwangju City and as deputy head of Dong-gu, Gwangju.


In his inauguration speech, CEO Goo stated, "I am happy to return to my hometown," and added, "I will utilize my administrative experience and extensive network to strengthen cooperation with the local community and promote various projects to expand accessibility to culture and tourism."
