Gokseong County Governor Cho Sangrae: “Focusing Administrative Efforts on Livelihood Stability and Resident Safety”

Joo Sangrae, the governor of Gokseong County, urged during the weekly work report meeting held on the morning of the 7th with all former department heads in attendance that future county administration should focus its efforts on protecting the livelihood economy and ensuring the safety of county residents. Gokseong County in Jeollanam-do is focusing all administrative efforts on stabilizing the local economy and ensuring the safety of residents in response to the recent political turmoil following the President's impeachment ruling.

On the morning of the 7th, Gokseong County Governor Cho Sangrae emphasized at the weekly work briefing attended by all department heads, "Especially in difficult times, protecting the lives of our residents and the stability of the local community is our top priority," and added, "We will devote all our administrative capabilities to safeguarding the local economy and ensuring the safety of our residents."

To achieve this, the county plans to prioritize the execution of budgets for stabilizing livelihoods, encourage the use of already distributed livelihood support funds, and expedite the payment of public interest allowances for farmers and fishermen in Jeollanam-do. In addition, the county will listen to the concerns of small business owners in local commercial districts, ensure the smooth progress of key planned projects, strengthen on-site administrative visits centered on towns and villages, and carry out intensive care activities for vulnerable groups.

Furthermore, the county will strengthen preventive activities in response to the severe wildfire risk level, conduct frequent inspections of disaster-prone areas to prevent safety accidents, and rigorously uphold public service discipline to ensure both the safety of residents and the reliability of administration.

Governor Cho stated, "Gokseong County will do its utmost to protect the lives of each and every resident, no matter how difficult the circumstances," and added, "We will always remember that stabilizing the livelihoods of our people is the most urgent task, and every public official will steadfastly carry out county administration without wavering."
