The Shinan County Council in Jeonnam (Chairperson Lee Sangjoo) announced that on the 7th, it held a ‘Hometown Love Donation Mutual Exchange Ceremony’ with the Yeonggwang County Council (Chairperson Kim Kangheon).
This donation event was a meaningful occasion to strengthen cooperation and promote friendship between the two organizations, with voluntary participation from both council members and staff.

In particular, Shinan and Yeonggwang have continued ongoing exchanges, including a mutual donation between the Shinan County Tax Accounting Division and the Yeonggwang County Planning and Budget Office on October 15 last year, and between the Shinan County Public Health Center and the Yeonggwang County Public Health Center on January 23 this year.
Lee Sangjoo, Chairperson of the Shinan County Council, stated, “I hope this mutual donation will serve as an opportunity for the two regions to cooperate even more closely,” and added, “We will continue to pursue mutual development through ongoing exchanges and cooperation in the future.”
Meanwhile, the Hometown Love Donation Program allows individuals to donate up to 20 million KRW annually to local governments other than their place of residence, receiving tax deductions and return gifts in return. Donors receive a full tax deduction for donations up to 100,000 KRW, and amounts exceeding this are deducted at 16.5%. For return gifts, donors can select local specialties within 30% of the donation amount. Shinan County offers a variety of items such as Cheonil salt, skate, seaweed, and Korean beef as return gifts.
