Chonnam National University Hospital Main and Branch Receive Commendation from President of Korea Medical Device Safety Information Institute

Chonnam National University Hospital (Director: Jung Shin) and Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital (Director: Min Jeongjun) announced on the 7th that they were selected as excellent centers at the '2025 Medical Device Safety Information Monitoring Center 1st Steering Committee' and received a commendation from the President of the Korea Medical Device Safety Information Institute.

The Medical Device Safety Information Monitoring Centers at Chonnam National University Hospital and Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital were recognized for their contributions to promoting public health and strengthening the safety of medical devices through systematic collection and analysis of medical device safety information.

Chonnam National University Hospital has operated the 'Medical Device Safety Information Monitoring Center' since 2013, and Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital since 2015, establishing a system for systematic management of adverse event information related to medical devices. They are also taking the lead in securing medical device safety by strengthening cooperative networks with local hospitals.

Kang Taekwon, head of the center at Chonnam National University Hospital, said, "We will continue to collect and analyze adverse events related to medical devices so that patients and medical staff can use medical devices more safely."

Kim Inyoung, head of the center at Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital, said, "We will do our best to contribute to public health and become a trusted hospital in the future."
