All Staff Participate Directly from Planning to Development
Embodying the Founding Philosophy
Inje University Busan Paik Hospital (Director Yang Jaewook) unveiled its official character, 'Bubaeki', on the 7th.
Bubaeki was planned and produced as a project by the organizational culture improvement task force team, 'Whiteland'. Last year, an official character contest was held for all staff members, and the final character was selected through internal review and voting. From planning and selection to production and development, staff members directly participated in the completion of this character.
The name 'Bubaeki', an abbreviation of 'Busan Paik Hospital', was chosen for the character. Its round body, heart-shaped face, and playful expression are designed to express friendliness and loveliness. The character features the Paik Hospital logo symbol on its head, and its representative identity is highlighted by using the official mint and blue colors.
Bubaeki is depicted as a guardian angel who has long protected Busan Paik Hospital and possesses the ability to read people's hearts and pain. The character accompanies patients during moments of anxiety or recovery, comforting the busy and weary medical staff and members. In particular, Bubaeki is said to be hard to spot for most people, but children are especially sensitive to its presence, according to its fictional universe.
This character embodies the founding philosophy of 'Insuljese' and 'Indeokjese', which means saving the world with benevolent medical skills and virtue, and contributing to the health and happiness of humanity. Busan Paik Hospital plans to use Bubaeki in a variety of online and offline promotional content.
Director Yang Jaewook said, "We are planning to create a lot of fun content, such as goods, events, and other activities using Bubaeki, which expresses various situations and actions. We aim to make Bubaeki a friendly and lovable mascot for patients and citizens, and through this, provide a new brand experience for Busan Paik Hospital."
