Goheung Yujacha Set for Export to Czech Republic

53 Tons of Goheung Yujacha Shipped

Goheung County, South Jeolla Province (Governor Gong Youngmin) announced on the 7th that a shipment ceremony for Goheung Yujacha exports was held at the Duwon Agricultural Cooperative Yuzu Processing Plant, attended by Governor Gong Youngmin, executives and staff from Duwon Agricultural Cooperative, and Won International.


This export is a follow-up to the 2022 Goheung County Agricultural and Marine Products Europe Market Exploration Team, with 53 tons of Goheung Yujacha, worth $140,000 (KRW 210 million), being shipped to the Czech Republic.

The importer, SV. Martin s.r.o, is a food ingredient trading company based in Plzen, Czech Republic, and plans to supply Goheung Yujacha to cafes and other food and beverage businesses.


In particular, this export is expected to further expand the entry of Goheung agricultural and marine products into the European market and serve as an important stepping stone to raise the awareness of Goheung Yujacha not only in the Czech Republic but throughout Europe.


Governor Gong Youngmin stated, "This Yujacha export, achieved as a follow-up to the 2022 Europe Market Exploration Team, will become an important milestone in globalizing Goheung’s agricultural and marine products," adding, "We will continue various efforts to promote not only yuzu but also Goheung’s agricultural and marine products to the world."


A county official said, "Goheung Yujacha is gaining attention among local consumers in the Czech and European markets as a wellness beverage," adding, "We plan to expand the export market for Goheung yuzu through continuous marketing in the future."
