During the inspection period, the Fire and Disaster Headquarters also focused on enhancing fire prevention effects by providing information on types and management standards of special combustible materials and strengthening on-site safety guidance.

Kim Jaebyeong, head of the Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters, stated, "Since special combustible materials can lead to large-scale fires from even a small spark, thorough management is essential. We will continue to do our best to create a safe environment through ongoing fire safety management at special combustible material handling sites."

Meanwhile, from 2020 to 2024, a total of 196 fires related to resource recycling facilities occurred within the province, resulting in 1 death and 16 injuries. The main cause of fires was ignition due to chemical substances, accounting for 32%, the highest proportion.
