Park Gwancheon Claims "Wanting to Leave Quickly Without a Plan... Even Executives Are Stressed" Alleging Pressure from the Security Office

Recklessly Saying "I Want to Move to Acro Vista"
Acro Vista, Vulnerable to Security as a Multi-Family Housing Complex

Park Gwan-cheon, a former Blue House administrative officer known to be well-informed about the Security Office's affairs, claimed that Kim Geon-hee, wife of former President Yoon Seok-yeol, is pressuring the Security Office by saying she "wants to leave the Hannam-dong residence quickly."

On the 7th, former administrative officer Park said on MBC Radio's 'Kim Jong-bae's Focus' program, "(Mrs. Kim) recklessly said she wanted to move quickly to (Acro Vista), and the Security Office executives are under a lot of stress because of that." He added, "Since he is a former president, it is completely different from ordinary people hiring a moving company for a move," and said, "Saying she wants to leave quickly and insisting on it does not mean it will happen. Because of her demands, the staff are frustrated and even say strange things outside," explaining that the Security Office is struggling due to Mrs. Kim's requests.

Regarding the security environment at the former President Yoon's residence, the Acro Vista mixed-use complex in Seocho-gu, Seoul, former administrative officer Park pointed out, "Acro Vista is a multi-family housing complex, so there are many security vulnerabilities and various issues." He explained that for the security of a former president, "the place where the former president stays and the security building must be within the same compound," meaning there should be waiting areas for security personnel and separate spaces for the president and the first lady. He also added that the closed-circuit television (CCTV) must be independently monitored, and the security personnel working in three shifts of six people each need a waiting area for shift changes and a security command post (CP) to comprehensively manage security.

Furthermore, former administrative officer Park said, "There should be a dedicated elevator between the president’s residence and the security CP to respond quickly in case of an incident, and dedicated parking spaces are also necessary." He explained that when former President Yoon stayed at Acro Vista for about six months after his election and inauguration, residents allowed a dedicated elevator, and the security CP was located in the Kobana Contents office (Mrs. Kim’s company) in the Acro Vista basement, but now that is not feasible, causing many difficulties for the Security Office.

Additionally, former administrative officer Park mentioned that using the adjacent house next to the Acro Vista residence as a security building is an option, but he viewed it as unlikely to be realized, saying, "It depends on whether the neighbor would allow it, and also where they would move immediately after vacating the house."
