Teams of 3 to 15 youth members eligible
Buan County, North Jeolla Province, announced on the 7th that it is recruiting participants for the 'Masillak Youth Talent Contest (23rd National Youth Dance Competition)' until the 17th.
This competition, hosted by the county and organized by the Buan branch of the Korea Entertainment Artists Association, aims to provide local youth with diverse cultural and artistic experiences and to discover creative talents. It will be held at 1:00 PM on the 5th of next month during the 12th Buan Masil Festival.
Eligibility is open to youth under the age of 18 in Korea, and teams of 3 to 15 members can apply. Applications must be submitted via email by the 17th, including the application form, video file, and audio file.
The preliminary round will select 11 teams through video screening from those submitted by the 19th. The finalists will compete on the main stage at the Buan Masil Festival on the 5th of next month.
A total of 5 million KRW in prize money will be awarded, including the Grand Prize (North Jeolla Special Self-Governing Province Superintendent's Award) for one team with 1.5 million KRW, Gold Prize (Buan County Governor's Award) for one team with 1 million KRW, Silver Prize (Buan County Governor's Award) for one team with 800,000 KRW, and Bronze Prize (Buan Office of Education Superintendent's Award) for one team with 600,000 KRW.
A county official stated, "We hope this competition will be a great opportunity for local youth to showcase their dreams and talents," and added, "We look forward to many young people taking on the challenge and fully expressing their abilities."
