Uljin County Launches Pilot Operation of Humanities Landmark 'Uljin Geumgangsong Forest Jigwaonseoga' Uljin Geumgangsong Forest Jikwanseoga (Ecolium).

The 'Uljin Geumgangsong Forest Jigwanseoga' has adopted a unique concept that reflects the characteristics of the region, set against the natural environment of the Geumgangsong pine tree colony. This place is designed as a space for contemplation and meditation, operating under the theme of 'Breath and Rest,' with the goal of helping visitors find relaxation and peace in nature.

During the pilot period, Uljin County is hosting a pre-opening special lecture titled 'The Philosophy of Love and Happiness.' The lecture will be held four times on April 8, 9, 15, and 16, covering philosophical topics such as 'The Reason I Loved You' and 'Happiness and the Satisfaction of Desires.' The sessions will provide opportunities for active discussion and conversation among participants, stimulating philosophical thinking.

Participants who complete pre-registration via the QR code on the poster will receive a Mind Lab publication as a gift.

The pilot operation runs from April 2 to April 25, with the opening ceremony scheduled for the 25th. After the opening ceremony, a variety of cultural events and programs are planned. Uljin County is preparing various programs to ensure this space continuously provides cultural value to both local residents and visitors.

The Jigwanseoga is managed by residents of Sogwang 1-ri village and is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. (from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the pilot period). Like the Geumgangsong Ecorium, it is closed every Tuesday.

County Governor Son Byeongbok said, "The Uljin Geumgangsong Forest Jigwanseoga is a space for rest and reflection that embodies Uljin's natural environment, and we expect it to become a representative cultural landmark of Uljin County in the future."
