Business Agreement Signed with Muan County Sign Language Interpretation Center

The Muan County Council in Jeollanam-do (Chairman: Lee Hosung) announced on the 7th that it held a business agreement ceremony with the Muan County Sign Language Interpretation Center to support sign language interpretation.

This agreement was promoted with the intention of supporting sign language interpretation during plenary sessions so that information-vulnerable groups can easily understand the council's decision-making process and participate without exclusion.

According to the agreement, the Muan County Sign Language Interpretation Center will assign sign language interpreters to the plenary chamber to interpret the proceedings, and the county council will cooperate in creating a stable environment for sign language interpretation and in promoting related efforts.

Chairman Lee Hosung stated, "This agreement is a meaningful first step toward an open council where anyone can communicate without prejudice or barriers," adding, "We will continue to strive to create an environment where all residents have equal access to legislative information and can participate in local governance."

Starting with this agreement, the Muan County Council plans to strengthen information accessibility throughout its legislative activities and expand support for realizing inclusive local governance.
